Delta State Governor, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa has called on the people of Orogun Kingdom as well as all Deltans to have a peaceful co-existance during and after the general elections.
Governor Okowa, who made the call during a visit to Orogun Kingdom, Ughelli North Local Government, lauded the people for their support and urged eligible voters to come out en mass during the election to exercise their franchise peacefully irrespective of party affilaitions.
Governor Okowa, thanked the people for the warm reception accorded him which was led by the Okparoku of Orogun Kingdom, Akpojotor Ekpu 1, in Conjuction with PDP Core Supporters Network (PCSN) as well as Chief Barr. Andy Osawota, the Ogba of Orogun Kingdom and PDP National Leader, Orogun Kingdom.
The governor who was represented by his father, Chief Pa. Arthur Okowa, (The Ataneru of Orogun Kingdom), and Grand Patron, PDP Core Supporters Network (PCSN), and accompanied by the Chairman, Delta State Sports Commission, Mr. Tony Okowa, appealed to all to be on board in order to ensure victory for all PDP candidates.
The governor while reeling out his score card for the last four years, noted that, inspite of the paucity of fund, he has been able to fulfill his electioneering campaign promises. He stressed that he has completed several projects while some are still on-going across the state.
Governor Okowa, who urged the people of Orogun kingdom to vote for him to enable him complete all on-going projects, promise to tripple his achievements if reelected. He assured the people of looking into their demands and promise to take neccessary action that will exceed their expectations.
Earlier, the Okparoku of Orogun Kingdom, Akpojotor Ekpu 1, who spoke through the Ogoruku of Orogun, Chief Agustine Ogheneshawokho, commended the governor for his development efforts in Orogun kingdom as well as giving key political appointments to his subjects. He appealed for the construction of more roads, rehabilitation of schools and citing of a higher institution in Orogun kingdom.
While during a town hall meeting with the governor, the Ogba of Orogun Kingdom, Chief Barr. Andy Osawota on behalf of the people, promised to vote massively for all candidates of PDP from the presidency to the State House of Assembly.
The Chairman of Ughelli North Council, Hon. Godwin Adode, urged eligible voters to come out en masse on 9th March to vote for all the candidates of the PDP.
While the State Coordinator, PDP Core Supporters Network (PCSN), Hon. Alfred Etugbo and the state P.R.O, Comr. Kanabar Ovie Duku, noted that the people of Orogun has been well educated on how to use their finger to thumb print to ensure that their votes are valid.
According to Hon. Etugbo, PCSN is the grass root mobilizer of the party with a wide and strong structure in all the 36 states of the federation and FCT, whose mandate is to mobilize, canvass and advocate for the party.
He enjoin all PDP political leaders to educate their supporters on the need to conduct themselves in a decorous and civilized manner and allow the decisions of the party to be supreme in order for PDP to win all elections in the State.
