The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Delta State, has announced the indefinite postponement of the on-going INEC PVC Collection/Political Campaigns Sensitization Meetings, in Delta South Senatorial District earlier scheduled to hold on Tuesday October 25, at the Senatorial district headquarters, Isoko South LGA and Delta Central Senatorial scheduled to hold on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at the Senatorial district headquarters, Ughelli North LGA.
This was disclosed in a release signed by the Administrative Secretary, Dr. Monday Hezekiah, on behalf of the State Resident Commissioner, that was made available to newsmen on Saturday, October 22, 2022.
According to the release “The indefinite postponement is in deference to the unfortunate incidence of flooding that has ravaged most parts of the two respective LGAs.”
While commiserating with victims of the floods, the Commission maintained that status quo remain as scheduled in Delta North Senatorial District.
The Dr. Hezekiah signed INEC release said “Please note that the INEC Delta North Senatorial PVC Collection/Political Campaigns will still hold as scheduled
