National Leader, Niger Delta Peace Awareness Movement, (NDPAM) Alhaji Awo Destiny Harmony has exposed a sinister plot to tarnish the reputation of Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited (PINL), describing it as a target of envy driven blackmail.
Alhaji Harmony in a bold statement in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State called for support for PINL, urging the public to reject the frivolous attempts to tarnish the company’s image.
“PINL which has been diligently carrying out its pipeline surveillance duties in line with its contract agreement with the Federal Government, has become the target of envy-driven blackmail”.
“Despite its exemplary service, PINL has been facing baseless attacks from individuals and groups seeking to discredit its good work.The company has carried out its surveillance contract with diligence due to its track record of excellent service delivery “.
“PINL has received accolades from stakeholders such as traditional rulers, community leaders and youths following it’s uncompromised standard in carrying out its service. The company has deployed state of the art technology and modern day equipment to deliver on its mandate which is evident even to the naysayers”.
“It’s surveillance of oil assets in its Areas of Responsibility (AoR) has proven skeptics wrong that the company can deliver on such daunting tasks,with clear records of tangible achievements “.
According to Alhaji Harmony…”These malicious actors, motivated by jealousy and a desire for personal gain, are attempting to sabotage the company’s efforts and undermine its reputation.Without any doubt, PINL efforts has helped in increasing crude oil production by providing security for oil and gas infrastructures on land and offshore locations”.
“Since the company operation began,it has successfully tracked and dismantled illegal bunkering sites with security agencies,taken preventative measures to curb oil theft and destruction of oil and gas infrastructures, the company workforce has shown dedication and commitment to duty,they don’t have ghost workers”.
“PINL, a key player in the Nigerian oil and gas sector is a reputable company that has consistently demonstrated its commitment to pipeline surveillance.It is unacceptable for individuals and groups to engage in blackmail and character assassination simply because they are envious of the company’s success.”… Alhaji Harmony stated”.
“The company has maintained a high level of corporate social responsibility to their host communities by providing relief materials to flood victims in over 23 communities to mitigate the effects, providing scholarships to students of the region”.
“I wish to call on stakeholders to join in condemning these malicious attacks, the public to support PINL in its efforts to provide quality service to the nation. It is time to put an end to the politics of envy and allow PINL to continue its good work without undue interference” Alhaji Harmony added.
