“Let love lead amongs us as we celebrate the Death and resurrection of Christ” says Otuaro.
As Deltans join Christians all over the world to celebrate this year’s Easter, the Deputy Governor of Delta State, Deacon Kingsley Burutu Otuaro has called on Nigerians especially Deltans to show love to one another. He said that when genuine love leads, there will be cordial and harmonious co-existence in every part of the country.
In a press statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Elohor Rita Agbra, the State Deputy Governor called on deltans to reflect on the reason for Easter celebration. He noted that in a country with various religious and tribal differences, the need to make concerted effort in bringing and preaching peace in every ethnic divide cannot be overemphasized.
Otuaro advised every religious body to educate its members on the harmonious working relationship in this electioneering year and shun all forms of social vice capable of heating up the polity.
“As Christians, we must reflect on the importance of Easter celebrations in our everyday sphere, irrespective of our religion. I admonished Nigerians especially Deltans to eschew bitterness and all forms of violence in order to move the country forward” Otuaro stated.
He advised christians to pray for the nation for God to intervene in the current security challenges bedevilling the nation.
