The University of Port Harcourt Alumni Association Delta State Chapter President, Engr. Eruero Victor Atumah ( MNSE) has commended the Asaba branch Alumni, for their warm reception and hospitality when he made a state working visit to the branch, at Asaba the State Capital.
In a statement signed by his Personal and Media Assistant, Unique Augustine Akanigha, Engr. Atumah who was meeting with the Asaba branch for the first time since his election as the president of the state chapter, said that Asaba branch has ones again demonstrated why they are always know to be one of the must organized branch in Delta State.
The Statement, further said that he was happy for the warm reception and hospitality that the Asaba branch show to him during his visit, and thank the branch leadership, led by Unique Timidi Ebako and members for making him feel at home and that the memory of his visit will continue to linger on in his heart.
Engr. Atumah, while addressing, members of the branch, said that there is urgent need for all Uniport Alumni members in Delta State to give peace a chance, come together and work as one.
Saying that immediately after his swear in as president of the state chapter, he took it upon himself and his State Working Executive Committee (SWEC) by ensuring that every issues inherited from the immediate passed Leadership was addressed and also settled.
While listing his achievements in the past six months of his leadership, he said that the issues with Ughelli branch has been addressed and settled, and they now have their branch exco put in place as against the earlier caretaker committee set up by the past state leadership, the issues of suspension of some members of the state chapter who he feels that such members are dear very key to the development of the state chapter, has also been addressed and they have been restarted into the chapter.
According to the statement, Engr. Atumah promise to work on the part of peace, growth, and development of the Delta State Chapter.
He urge the Asaba branch exco and members to also tread on that same part of peace by ensuring that all members of the branch work together, because this is the time to give peace a chance. He charged them to address every issues affecting one member or the other.
He reminded them to continue to be a good ambassador to the state chapter, pay their dues regularly as they have always done, including the convention levy and other levies assigned to them.
