In continuation of its ongoing nationwide ‘Voter Education’ exercise, the Delta State Director of National Orientation CAgency (NOA), Mr. John Emah stated that the Agency has intensified its statewide sensitization campaign for the series on “Peaceful Education,” and curbing vote buying in our polity in the build up to the Governorship and State House of Assembly elections slated for next week Saturday, ,9th March, 2019.
The Delta NOA boss who stated the above at a sensitization rally held at Abraka Market, in Oshimili South LGA yesterday, noted that the exercise is essentially aimed at encouraging the electorate to make use of their Permanent Voters Card (PVC), vote correctly to minimize Void Voted, shun disorderly conduct for peaceful elections and Say No To Vote Buying.
Also speaking, the Assistant Director in charge of Admin and Supply of the Agency in the State, Mrs. Patricia Nkiru Umunna disclosed that for the Agency to ensure far reaching impact of the political enlightenment program, the Chief Orientation and Mobilization Officers (COMO) of NOA in the twenty five LGAs of the State had commenced simultaneous enlightenment programs along these lines at popular motor parks, recreation centers, markets, town halls and traditional ruler’s palaces.
