Delta State Hospital Management Board (DSHMB) has promised to partner with non-govermental organisations (NGOs) to ensure effective primary healthcare delivery in the state.
The Director of Hospital Management Services and Chief Executive, Dr. Paul Okubor, stated this when members of the State Advocacy Team (SAT), implementing the COVID-19 Response Mechanism and Resilient and Sustainable System for Health Strengthening System and Community Strengthening System(C19/RSSH-CSS), paid him a courtesy call in his office in Asaba.
The director expressed satisfaction towards the humanitarian services of the group and encourage them to consolidate on their good work for the good of the citizenry.
Dr. Okubor promised to collaborate with them in the provision of platforms that would enable public spirited individuals to support the improvement of the primary healthcare centres with the needed personnel, medical equipment and other relevant tools to effectively utilise the health facilities across the state.
In their separate remark, the Chairman of the SAT team, Pastor Greg Sifo, and the State Programme Officer, Miss Juliet Obiajulu, briefed the director and his team on the importance of the projects and successes recorded since they began the project.
They promised to sustain the relationship between the board for the overall good of the communities in the state.
