The National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State has embarked on sensitisation and distribution of enumeration forms to about 50 primary schools under the National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme of the Federal Government.
According to Efejuku Julie, the agency’s Chief Orientation and Mobilization Officer (CCMO) in Warri South, “the exercise was to prepare ahead the enumeration of details of schools, to be filled by teachers, care givers, parents, food vendors and pupils in primary schools in the locality.
Efejuku, who called for cooperation of all stakeholders in the exercise disclosed that the national database of the beneficiaries would be used to enhance future policy making and planning towards effective service delivery and monitoring of the entire programme.
In their remarks, some of the school heads in the area appealed to the Federal Government to increase the available forms to cover the pre-nursery pupils in the programme.
