We do not wish it were easier, for the harder the battle, the sweeter the victory. Though the road may be rough, we have our eyes fixed on victory.
Our sense of victory is not just winning an election but transforming Delta State into a modern, industrialised state not reliant mainly on allocations from sales of crude oil but on vibrancy of diverse economic sectors that will generate massive employment and wealth creation opportunities for the greater prosperity and better life of the people.
That is the divine calling of David Edevbie for Deltans.
As Shirley Chisholm pointed out, we won’t make progress by standing on the sidelines, whimpering and complaining. We can only make progress by implementing ideas, and these ideas have been well laid out by David.
What is required is action which, as Pablo Picasso noted, is the foundational key to all success.
As Jim Rohn said, “successful people, states and nations do what unsuccessful people are not willing to do, not to wish for things to be easy but to work to be better.
This process requires sound knowledge and competence on what should be done, passionate will and zeal to do them, a leadership imbued with courage to defy all odds and with untainted personal integrity and graceful candour to command the respect of the globe.
This is David Edevbie. This is the way, the only way, for a better Delta.
Let’s do it together…
