The deputy governor gave the assurance when delegation of Utagba-Uno Clan paid him a congratulatory visit in his office at the Government House in Asaba.
Responding to the request of the people for the rehabilitation of roads and provision of other social amenities in area, the deputy governor said that “by the grace of God, the Oborevwori Administration will do everything possible to rectify the infrastructural decay being suffered by the people of Ndokwa Nation.”
Onyeme disclosed that since some of the projects were already in the last year budget, the state government would provide funds for their proper execution, stressing that the road project would not be abandoned.
He promised that flood control measures would be put in place through drainage construction to checkmate the issues of perennial flooding in the area.
Onyeme commended the people for their support during the elections, adding that health facilities in the area would be strengthened to cater for the health needs of the people.
Earlier, the Leader of the delegation, Dr. Admiral Mike Onah (Rtd), represented by Chief (Dr) Agaga Akpati, said the visit was to congratulate the deputy governor and Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori on their victory at the polls.
Admiral Onah described the victory as “Ukwuani Nation’s victory,” pledging their total support for the Oborevwori-led administration.
The delegation appealed for the intervention of the state government in road rehabilitation, flood control and provision of health facilities in the locality.
