The Delta Online Publishers Forum (DOPF) has extended heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Paul Bebenimibo on his appointment as the new Registrar of the Nigeria Maritime University (NMU), Okerenkoko.
In a letter jointly signed by DOPF Chairman, Emmanuel Enebeli, and Secretary, Shedrack Onitsha, the forum described Dr. Bebenimibo’s appointment as “well-deserved” and a “testament to his exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to academic excellence.”
Dr. Bebenimibo, who previously served as Head of the Department of Broadcasting, Journalism and Media Studies at Delta State University, Abraka, as well as a senior official at the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), was lauded for his progressive track record in both academic and administrative roles.
His appointment was officially confirmed during the 21st Governing Council meeting of NMU, following what DOPF described as a “thorough and rigorous selection process” that underscored the university’s confidence in his abilities.
“We are confident that your wealth of experience, dedication, and integrity will serve as a driving force for growth and innovation at NMU,” the DOPF statement read. “We look forward to witnessing the continued transformation and progress of the university under your stewardship.”
Dr. Bebenimibo is expected to bring his vast experience and visionary leadership to bear in advancing the goals of the maritime institution, enhancing its national and international profile.
