DELTA State Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, has said that government will collaborate with philantropists who are engaging in development programmes.
Speaking when the Odogwu of Abala Kingdom in Ndokwa East Local Government Area of the state, Chief Christopher Iwere led a delegation to visit him at Government House, Asaba, on Tuesday, the Deputy Governor stated that the Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration desires speedy development of the state.
“This government is a listening government; we will partner with philantropists, those who are working for the good of our people, for our people, Deltans to have full benefits of democratic government.
“We will address the challenges of our people and we will do our best within the resources available,” the Deputy Governor said.
While acknowledging the contributions of Chief Iwere to the development of his community, Sir Onyeme, asserted, “the government will apply a larger parts of our resources to the development of our people.”
Speaking at the instance of the Odogwu, Chief Christopher Iwere during the visit, Chief Sunny Okiah, member of the delegation while congratulating His Excellency, Sir. Monday Oyenme on his successful inauguration and assumption of office, declared the entire people of Abala kingdom’s unalloyed support and cooperation for the Rt. Hon Sherriff Oborevwori-led government.
“I wish to assure you of the unalloyed support and cooperation of the people of Abala Kingdom to the current administration of the state,” he said.
The member representing Ndokwa West Constituency at the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Charles Emetulu, the Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House, Asaba, Sir Christopher Osakwe, were among those who witnessed the event.
