In a bid to promote a cleaner and healthier environment, the Delta State Waste Management Board (DSWMB), led by Hon. Matthew Mofe Edema, on Monday, March 1, 2025, carried out a routine evacuation of indiscriminately dumped waste along the Asaba/Benin Expressway, opposite FREDA EXPRESS Hotel, Agbor.
The cleanup exercise was supervised by Hon. Ndudi Cosmas Igbenije, Member representing Delta North in the DSWMB, with on-ground coordination by Kenneth Ezon Duwo, Supervisor of the Agbor Field Office.
Speaking during the operation, Duwo reiterated that the exercise aligns with the vision of the Hon. Edema-led board to maintain a clean and sustainable environment, in line with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda, which prioritizes environmental sustainability across the state.
He urged residents to desist from indiscriminate waste disposal, emphasizing the board’s commitment to ensuring a healthier Delta State.
