Agbor, Delta State – February 25, 2025
The Delta State Waste Management Board (DSWMB), under the leadership of Hon. Matthew Mofe Edema, has carried out the evacuation of illegal refuse dumps along Old Lagos/Asaba Road, near the former THISDAY company and Boju Boju Owa in Agbor.
The operation was supervised by Hon. Cosmas Igbenije, the Member representing Delta North in the DSWMB, and led by Kenneth Ezon Duwo, the Supervisor of the Agbor Field Office.

According to Duwo, the exercise aligns with the vision of the Hon. Edema-led DSWMB to ensure a cleaner and healthier environment, in line with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda for environmental sustainability in Delta State.
The waste evacuation effort is part of the Board’s ongoing commitment to tackling illegal dumping and promoting a cleaner Delta. Residents have been urged to adhere to proper waste disposal practices to support the state’s environmental sanitation drive.
