The employment of intelligence gathering strategy has been yielding results as Delta State Police has recently rescued two kidnapped victims, Mr Solomon Otomierewo, his girlfriend Rukewe Urhiephroune in a bush along Koko road in a part of the State.
According to the Release signed by the Acting Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Edafe Bright, the victims were kidnapped by gun men at Ogharra, Ethiope West Local Government Area while returning home in a GLK Mercedes Car.
Bright said that on getting the report, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of the Area, CSP Jimoh Hassan mobilized his men who collaborated with the Anticults, vigilante after a tip-off and moved the bush along Koko road where they took their victims to.
The suspects on sighting them fled as their victims were rescued unhurt.
The Release further said the GLK Mercedes car was, however, recovered at Oviore near Isiokoro in Efhiope East Local Government Area.
The Delta State Police called on the general public for more cooperation and information sharing that would help to flush out criminal elements in the State.
