Delta State Commissioner of Police, Ari Muhammad Alli has reiterated the need for well meaning Nigerians not relent in fighting crime and other social vices.
Mr. Alli made the assertion during the commissioning of Over 100 Walkie-talkie donated by Mr. Nwapali Onyeagwu, the CEO Pally Agro product to Agbor Area command of the Nigerian Police, Agbor in Ika South Local Government Area of the State.
According to the CP who was represented by the DCP Operations Delta State Police command, Asaba DCP Johnson Adenola, noted that security business is everyone’s business and must be done diligently, because must be our brother’s keepers.
“This is the reason we commend Mr. Nwapali Onyeagwu for the kind gesture. We heartily appreciate our dear brother for the donation. The communication gadget is very key in the fight against social vices.
While saying that communication is very key in human activity, he avarred that the gesture will go a long way to curbing criminal activities in Ika nation” he stated.
Speaking further, he charged the officers to guide the gadget judiciously. More success will be achieved when the Walkie talkie is put to good use.
While commending the the various security operatives in Ika nation, he noted that synergy remains the best formula for recording success in the area of security.
In his remarks, the Chairman of Ika North East Local Government Area, Hon. Victor Ebonka described the benefactor as a detribalised individual.
“He has taken to heart the security challenges of his locality. Nwapali Onyeagwu’s philanthropist is indeed people oriented, I am aware that he has single handedly taken up the responsibility of constructing some roads in the locality, what exceptional and laudable act ” he stated
While commending the Delta State C P leadership character, he said ” the proactiveness in tackling crime in the state is legendary.
” Even at the Area command here, the officers are doing excellent job, from ACP Adamu Idachaba to the three DPOs of Agbor, Owa – Oyibu and Umunede, the area has been calm’ he argued.
