The Delta State Police Community Relations Committee PCRC has elected and sworn in newly elected chairman, Comrade Oliver Eyefia and its executive officers to pilot the affairs of the committee for the next four years.
The National Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Mogaji admonished the newly sworn state executives to see their position as a call to duty to better their various communities, state, country and the police force.
Alhaji Mogaji enjoined the chairman to be visionary and protect the interest of all PCRC members through effective and diligent service.
The National Chairman of the PCRC South South Zone, DCN Kenneth Otuonyo commended members for peaceful disposition during and after the election and urged the newly elected members to work for the interest of all members.
He urged the chairman to bring all aggrieved members together.
In his acceptance speech, Comrade Oliver Eyefia appreciated the PCRC members for the confidence they reposed on the new executive and promised to carry every members along in the discharge of his duties.
Those elected were Comrade Oliver Eyefia as Chairman, Chied Darlington Deputy Chairman, Sir Okoh Jude Vice Chairman, Chief Oke Okudhuru Prince Deputy Secretary and Sare Agoda Auditor.
Others are Honourable Franca Nkem Treasurer, Umogu Samson Publicity Secretary among others.
In an interview, members commended the process, saying that the election was free and fair while pledging their support to the success of the new administration of comrade Oliver Eyefia.
Highlight of the event was the swearing of the elected members with the oath of office administer by the Chief Eric Osharode and the Deputy National Secretary Ambassador Mary Samuel Joseph.
