The 2020 Credentials Committee of the Delta state Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) have rolled out the timetable for the forthcoming 2020 election into the state executive council positions.
In a statement signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the Committee, Comrade Godwin Eziokwu Okoh and Comrade Kenneth Obieh respectively said the activities will begin from 11th March,2020 and end on Tuesday 2nd June,2020.
The Committee revealed that collection and Submission of forms will begin from Wednesday 11th March to Tuesday 17th March 2020, while the screening of the aspirants will start from Wednesday 18th March to Friday 25th March,2020
They further stated that the publication of lists of Aspirants and lists of eligible Voters is slated for Monday 23rd March 2020, while claims and objections will be from Thursday 26th march to Monday 30th March 2020.
Forwarding of Credentials of Aspirants to the Nationals Secretariat was scheduled for Monday the 6th of April to Friday 10th April 2020 and campaign by candidates and their supporters will begin on Friday 1st may to Monday 1st June 2020.
The committee also disclosed that Monday 1st June 2020 will be manifestos at 12 noon and election will be on Tuesday 2nd June 2020 at 10am.
The venue for the collections and submissions of forms is at the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) temporary Press Center at No 2 Oghara Street DDPA Estate Asaba, from 10am daily.
The committee also used the opportunity to advise contestants and their supporters to be of good conduct within the period of the electoral activities.
