ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), has felicitated with two of its colleagues, Comrade Ifeanyi Michael Egwunyenga on his appointment as the Chief Job and Wealth Creation Officer, Delta State, and Mr. Pius Benaebi Labo as the Chairman, Delta State Arts Council.
In a statement jointly signed by the State Chairman, Mr. Godfrey C. Osakwe and Secretary, Mr. Emmanuel Enebeli, the State Chapter described the appointments of Egwunyenga and Labo as well-deserved in view of their professional competence and pedigree in previous assignments.
The professional body thanked Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for finding Egwunyenga and Labo worthy to serve in the capacity of their assigned portfolios, and expressed optimism in their colleagues’ ability and passion for excellent service delivery to further actualise the vision of M.O.R.E agenda as canvassed by His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff F. Oborevwori for the good of all Deltans.
The NIPR Delta Chapter while urging support for the appointees, called on all the critical stakeholders in the rebirth of a new Delta State to join hands in youth engagement and value reorientation.
It further opined that for sustainability of youth empowerment, today’s youth need to be mainstreamed in the culture of legitimate work ethics and be engaged in wealth creation with skill sets for a more secured future. Also, the creative arts sector offers great opportunities for wealth creation and employment generation which can help leapfrog Delta State into a high-growth economy.
“No doubt these and other areas, we believe that Comrade Egwunyenga and Mr. Labo will explore adequately for the economic advancement of Delta State”. The Statement said.
