The Delta State Chapter of All Progressive Congress, APC has countered the comment of a former House of Reps member and chieftain of the party, Dr. Cairo Ojougboh that the Delta North faction of APC would not vote for Mace Snatcher, describing the comment as the ranting of a confused PDP agent, sacked NDDC Acting Executive Director Project and a deposed Akinuwa.
The APC statement which was signed by its Director of Publicity, Mr. Nick Ovuakporie posited that Ojougboh had no authority to speak for or on behalf of the party in any guise but only expressing his colossal failure to achieve his sinister aim of coming to destabilise the APC as a covet agent of the PDP.
According to the Delta APC while reacting to the statement published by Daily Independent newspaper and credited to Dr. Cairo Ojuogboh wherein, he made disparaging remarks against the party leader, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and the State Chairman, Prophet Jones Ode Erue, “The comment of Dr. Cairo Ojougboh is unfortunate especially coming from a supposed educated individual who parades the title of Doctor”, adding that “we are not entirely surprised owing to the usual shenanigans of the said Cairo Ojuogboh”.
The statement attributed Cairo Ojuogboh’s outburst, particularly to that of an alleged confused PDP agent, sacked NDDC Ag. EDP and a deposed Akinuwa ( palace chief) who is seeking undeserved public relevance and doing the bidding of his co-travellers and paymasters in the PDP.
The APC further stressed that in countries where corruption carries capital punishment such as China, people like Cairo Ojuogboh ought to have been hanged owing to his monumental escapades in the NDDC within the short period he served as Ag. EDP and reminded him further of his alleged infamous role in orchestrating the questionable fainting of his former co-dramatis persona Professor Pondei on national television.
The Party therefore stated unambiguously, that there was no APC Delta North meeting that held in Kwale as falsely alluded to in the Daily Independent newspaper report but a mere convergence of renegades whose anti-party activities were well documented having initially converged in Agbor on the alleged instruction of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of the PDP, where they plotted the defection of one of their lackey Chief George Okafor to the PDP ahead of their eventual defection which the party has credible intelligence report on.
The Party said it has to seize this opportunity to warn Cairo Ojuogboh and his impostors who are in the inglorious habit of dragging the APC and its leadership into disrepute to desist henceforth from further provoking the party to wield the big stick against their anti-party activities as no one is above discipline.
The Party also drew the attention of Cairo Ojuogboh, the Editor-in-Chief of Daily Independent newspaper and others in their implosive vehicle to the legal consequences of their unguarded utterances in the light of the judgement of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court, which had effectively dealt with the mace allegation whose excerpt is reproduced below for guidance;
“[T]here is no iota of evidence indicating that the applicant Senator Ovie Omo-Agege stole the Mace and invaded the Senate, the allegation is more of his accomplices perpetuating the act, which has not been proved. It is therefore wrong for any person or authority within the Federal Republic of Nigeria to print, publish or circulate in the media or social networks like the 1st Respondent (Saraki) did that the applicant led thugs to invade the Senate and cause same to be published in Punch Newspaper of 18/04/2019. This is the highest height of defamation, I so hold. The applicant has not sought any relief as regards to defamation as an ancillary relief, it is however only fair that the findings above are findings made in rem as such any future publication becomes a new cause of action, I so order. He may serve this judgment on the media or newsprint to avoid them acting without knowing of the orders and declarations made in rem, which inure to his favour.”
Excerpt of Judgment of FCT Abuja High Court rendered on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 by Hon. Justice O. A. Musa.
The Party however warned these political harlots and impostors that ignorance is no excuse to the committal of crime as any further misplaced action including acts of mudslinging would be legally dealt with no matter who is involved.
