In continuation of his visits to PDP delegates in the various local government areas of the state, the Senator Representing Delta South in the upper chamber of the National Assembly, Senator James Manager has assured Deltans of good governance and political Inclusiveness, if given support to emerge as the party’s flag-bearer in the 2023 Gubernatorial race.
Supporters from diverse ethnic backgrounds accompanied Manager, as when he visited delegates of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Oshimili South, Ndokwa East and Ndokwa West local government areas to appeal to their conscience.
Addressing the delegates, Manager said he has been an active participant in politics since the creation of the state, and remained consistent in the PDP, because of his faith in the party, assuring that he would build on the legacies of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa if elected.
The Governorship Aspirant urged the people to be fair to the ethnic group that had been deeply involved in the making of Kings from behind the scenes, without becoming one, from the group.
He said he had served as pioneer State Chairman of the PDP and occupied other sensitive positions, and should be given the opportunity to become the flag bearer of the PDP by voting for him.
Manager reminded the delegates that they played a vital role in the political transition of the state and that their vote would be their power, appealing to them to use their power well.
Responding, the PDP Chairmen in Oshimili South, Ogbueshi Dada.okonji, Ndokwa East, Chief Vincent Osilonya and Ndokwa West, Ogbuefi Lucky Okuji, thanked Manager for the visit and urged him to remember the local government areas if he emerges Governor.
The Director General of the Senator James Manager Campaign Train, Engineer Emmanuel Eboh described the Senator as an accessible, detribalised and qualified person to govern Delta State, and appealed to the delegates to give him a chance to better the lot of Deltans.
A minute silence was observed in honor of a former Senator from the area, Senator Patrick Osakwe, who died recently.
