The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has been charged to focus it’s sensitization on industrialization and self reliance of Nigeria for the nation to escape its numerous challenges, particularly it’s social and economic problems.
His Royal Majesty (HRM) Dr Benjamin Ikenchuku, Keagborekuzi 1, the Dein of Agbor made the charge in Agbor when he received the NOA Delta State Directorate’s Covid-19 preventive sensitization and advocacy team led by the State Director Mr Christopher Uche Anyabuine in his Palace.
While commending the NOA for the sensitization against vices in the nation, the Dein of Agbor noted that Nigeria’s self reliance will free her from the numerous challenges it’s facing.
Earlier, the Director of NOA Delta State Directorate’s Mr Christopher Uche Anyabuine informed the Dein of Agbor that the Agency was on community to community dialogue and advocacy visit to Ika land.
The theme of the campaign, according to the NOA Director was “BUILDING A PEOPLE OF PEACE: WORKING TOGETHER TO OVERCOME COVID-19 WITH FOCUS ON HEALTH AND SECURITY INFRASTRUCTURE”.
Anyabuine expressed gratitude to the revered Royal Father and other traditional rulers in Nigeria for being custodians of the oldest dispute resolution platforms in Nigeria, and appealed for continued sustenance of peace building role of His Monarch and other traditional rulers in Nigeria.
Appealing to youths and motor Parks operators in the State to say No to Cultism, as well as cult related violence in the State, the NOA Director urged Deltans to choose dialogue to resolve disputes.
Also, at the slaughter Musa Market and Arewa Community in Agbor, Anyabuine who condemned rape and kidnapping, urged the people to always show ethnic and religious tolerance and embrace peaceful coexistence despite Covid 19 challenges and tensions.
“Prevention is better than cure, observe Covid 19 preventive measures instituted by government to stay safe”. He added.
