Senior Special Assistants (SSA’s) endorsement is not a bad one,but they added nothing to the system without spreading cheers to their suppers as many are behaving like they submitted rich CV for the job and after their family alone. In a good democratic system after endorseing the Governor their supputers will endorsed them and that is the democratic chain that leads to victory
Ndego Uche expressing some concerns about the effectiveness of SSA’s endorsement in a democratic system. You’re right; endorsements should ideally translate to tangible support and action, rather than just mere praise or self-interest.
In a well-functioning democratic system, endorsements should create a positive feedback loop, where supporters endorse leaders, and leaders, in turn, deliver benefits and services to their constituents. This democratic chain, as you called it, is crucial for building trust, fostering accountability, and driving progress.
Unfortunately, it’s not uncommon for endorsements to be driven by personal interests or party loyalty, rather than a genuine commitment to the public good. When this happens, the democratic chain breaks down, and citizens are left feeling disillusioned and disenfranchised.
To rebuild this chain, it’s essential to promote transparency, accountability, and civic engagement. Citizens must demand more from their leaders and hold them accountable for their actions. Leaders, in turn, must prioritize the needs and interests of their constituents, rather than just their own power and privilege.
