ASABA – JOY knows no bounds as was celebration gallore at Paracletan Orphanage Home, located in the Okpanam axis of Asaba, Delta State, as the Vito Corsica Deck of the National Association of Seadogs (NAS) also known as Pyrates Confraternity (PC) donated food stuff, cash and several valuable Items to the children at the orphanage in the spirit of the season.
Presenting the items, the Cap’n of Vito Corsica Deck of NAS, Engr. Emeka Okolo, said as part of its efforts to alleviate the sufferings of the less privilege in the society, the donation was in fulfillment of parts of the Confraternity’s tenets which was also to carry out charity work so as to assist the needy in the society.
Engr. Okolo stated that the gesture was part of the decision of NAS to regularly impact the lives of children in orphanage homes who deserve attention, care and protection
According to the Cap’n of the Vito Corsica Deck of NAS “Today, there are so many orphans in care homes or orphanages than before and they deserve our care. Many orphanages appreciate goods in kind apart from monetary gift. It is really noble to take the initiative to grant gifts that they need and that’s why we are eager to make a difference in the lives of orphans with carefully thought-out items that are of necessities”.
Receiving the cash and items on behalf of Paracletan Orphanage Home, Sister Loretta Elechi, thanked the Pyrates Confraternity for always identifying with the orphans and expressed happiness over the gift items.
While appreciating the kind gesture and noting that NAS had always supported Paracletan Orphanage Home, Sister Elechi disclosed that the Orphanage Home was expanding towards building a school and appealed to NAS for support towards the success of the project in whatever capacity.
Items presented include food stuff, beverages, toiletries, clothing and cash of N50,000, with a promise to support the educational venture of Paracletan Orphanage Home, which the Confraternity commended.
