The Bishop, Flock of Christ Mission Int. Enerhen Warri, Rev. Dr Simeon Okah, has enjoined all Nigerians to understand that, postponement of election date cannot postpone or change the will of God for His people. He added that, Nigerians must remain resolute and ensure that they come out enmass next Saturday to cast their votes.
Bishop Okah, stated this in Warri while fielding questions from newsmen following last Saturday’s Presidential election that was postponed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Bishop Simeon Okah, who is also the National Vice President, Pentecostal Fellowship Of Nigeria (PFN) South South, encouraged all Nigerians, particularly the church to remain positive despite the shift of the election dates.
According to him; “I want to encourage all Nigerians, particularly the church to remain positive despite the shift of the election dates . Please read this scripture: “The Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect. The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. ” ( Psalm 33 v 10 – 12 ).
“Let us all understand that postponement of election date cannot postpone or change the will of God. We must remain positive and speak positively to all our neighbours. Speak positively about the elections . We must remain resolute and ensure we cast our votes.”
Bushop Okah who is known for his wise counsel and spititual doggedness in pointing out the ills of any failed institution and government, enjoined all Nigerians not to allow the actions of INEC weigh them down, rather Nigerians should be prepared to make sacrificies.
“No action should weigh us down or deter us. Except if we want things to remain the way they are.
But if you want real change, then be ready to make all sacrifice. By the grace of God , next Saturday , we should all come out again and ensure we vote . We do not have any country other than Nigeria. We must remain and build it together. God will not allow the devises of the enemies of this nation to prevail.” Okah stated.
