David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, was born on November 21, 1992, in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. He is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer.
Davido moved to Nigeria when he was young and attended the British International School in Lagos. In 2011, he dropped out of Oakwood University, where he was studying Business Administration, to pursue a career in music.
Davido released his debut album, “Omo Baba Olowo,” in 2012, which featured hit songs like “Dami Duro” and “Ekuro.” He has since released several other successful albums, including “Son of Mercy,” “A Good Time,” and “A Better Time.”
Throughout his career, Davido has won several awards, including Best International Act at the BET Awards in 2018, Artist of the Year at the Headies Awards, and African Artiste of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards.
He is also known for his philanthropic work, as he has donated to various causes and helped to build a music school in Nigeria.
