By Jackson Ekwugum I still vividly recall my first meeting with then Senator Ifeanyi Okowa in 2014. Of course, prior to that time, he was known to me by reputation as a first-class brain and consummate grassroots politician with almost fanatical following. It was strange that although we grew up in the same town and I am friends with some of his close associates, we never really got to meet until I was introduced to him in absentia by my big brother and professional mentor, Hon. Nduka Irabor. The campaign for the PDP gubernatorial primaries was heating up and Okowa,…

By Grade-One Clark As I scrolled through the day’s news reports on Google, I came upon a screaming headline, one of such many pranks that Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa springs on innocent Nigerians from time to time, which they gullibly swallow. It announced the outgoing governor of being a recent recipient of a United Nation’s Award for prudent management of state finances. I didn’t bother going through the lead, I skipped the story. It wasn’t worth it. Okowa has at every turn manipulated the state with deceit and propaganda. And he does get away with it. He must have paid some…
