Mr Akeredolu died at about 2 a.m. on Wednesday at a German hospital where he was receiving treatment, a senior government official in Ondo State said. The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has ordered an investigation into the alleged misconduct of some officials of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) at the Seme border. This decision comes after Moyo Okediji, a professor of African art from the University of Texas, Austin, shared his experience on Facebook. Okediji claimed that he was extorted and robbed of over $500 by NIS personnel when he entered Nigeria through Ghana.
