The Oyo Police Command has dismissed two police special constabulary for extortion. The dismissed officers, identified as Kareem Fataiand Jimoh Lukman were paraded before newsmen at the state Police Command, Eleyele, Ibadan on Thursday. They were stripped off their uniforms to further confirm their unceremonious exit. Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has announced a N198 billion intervention earmarked for institutions within the Nigerian higher education sector for the year 2023. This allocation represents 62 per cent of the total N320 billion government-approved fund. Abdulmumin Oniyangi, TETFund’s Acting Director of Public Affairs, in a document available on the Fund’s website, clarified that the intervention was solely for public tertiary institutions, with private institutions excluded from the Fund’s intervention lines based on the Act establishing the Fund.
