Delta State Frontline 2023 Governorship hopeful, Barr. Fred Majemite, today visited Casualties of the collapsed building housing the Salvation Ministry Church, Okpanam Road Asaba, at the Asaba Specialist Hospital.
Majemite, who was conducted round the Female Surgical and Paediatric Wards by the Chief Medical Director (CMD), Dr. Ayiri Peace Ighosewe in company of other nurses, arrived the hospital at exactly 8am with his entourage.
While praying and giving cash support to the casualties and some other patients at the hospital to cushion the effect of the incident, the renowned philanthropist encouraged the medical team involved to do their best for all patients in the Asaba Specialist Hospital.
According to him “I heard the sad news that the church building collapsed and that some are still in the hospital. So, I have to come myself this morning to see how I can help cushion the effect while praying for them and wishing it never to happen again in our State and the country. You know, Government alone cannot do it all”.
The former Commissioner for Lands and Survey, charged the Ministry to visit sites, ensure adherence to standards before approving building plans.
“Before approving building plan, move to sites and monitor construction work”. Majemite charged the State Ministry of Lands and Survey.
