The Anglican Bishop of of Asaba Diocese, Rt. Rev Kingsley Obuh and his siblings had a memorial service in honour of their parents to commemorate their remarkable impart on parenthood even after death.
At the service, the Archbishop of Bendel Ecclesiastical Province , His Grace, Most Rev. Dr. Cyril Odutemu enjoined the congregation to live a righteous lives that could enable people to remember to celebrate them even after death.
He disclosed that late Godwin Obuh and Patricia Obuh who both died was 40 and 30 years ago and now celebrated by their children was a confirmation of the sweet memories shared while they were alive and encouraged them to emulate such good gesture for posterity.
The Archbishop who emphasised on people to be remembered through various biblical passages urged them to promote good virtues that would earn them righteousness in the presence of man and God.
The Anglican Bishop of Asaba Diocese, who extolled the various incident that led to the demised of their parents and their public status at that time said God had truly sustained them to this day.
He thanked the congregation for joining to celebrate the memorial service organised for their parents.
The celebration which was done at St. Mark Anglican Communion in Ubulu-Uku had in attendance the Governor of Delta State, Rt Hon. Sheriff Oborewori, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Kingsley Emu, Immediate past Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa and the wife, other top government functionaries, traditional rulers, bishops and priests from the Anglican across the province and dignitaries from all works of life.
There was a grand reception after the church service chaired by Rev Canon Leslie Ogbewe were he appreciated the children for organising such remarkable event to honour their late parents.
There were goodwill messages on memories of the lives of the demised of the parents.
It was a lavish reception for the Anglican Communion, family members, dignitaries and Ubulu-uku town.
