The opposition All Progressive Congress APC, in Delta State has suffered another setback as a prominent son of Ndokwa nation, Chief Tony Amechi last Sunday officially announced his return to the People’s Democratic Party PDP.
Amechi who played host to the PDP leaders, stakeholders as well as party faithful at his residence in Ndemili, the headquarters of ward 3 in Ndokwa West LGA, said he decided to return to PDP alongside his supporters because of the qualities of the party’s candidates for the 2023 general elections.
The philanthropist While addressing a mammoth crowd that came to grace the event, described Sheriff and Onyeme ticket as perfect combination, saying PDP was his party but he sojourn to the APC only to find out that the party has no structure and did not meant well for Nigeria.
According to him, he was happy to reunite with his friends and brother in the umbrella party, adding that his return to PDP has finally collapsed the APC in Ndokwa nation.
“I am happy to return home, I am coming with all my supporters and we are coming with materials to contribute to the success of PDP. I have tested the both parries and today, i can attest to the fact PDP is a better party far more than the APC. In fact, the two parties are incomparable. When you married two wives you will know the best, I can tell you that PDP better that why I return to my home.”
Continuing; “I am at home with all PDP leaders and stakeholders in Ward 3, and together we will achieve victory for our party.” He stated amid thunderous applause by the party faithful.
Political leaders who spoke at the event, were Chief Sam Osasa, Engr. Dan Ossai, Chief Kenneth Nwaomucha and Mrs. Kate Ozah applauded Chief Amechi whom they described as great asset to the community and PDP family.
They were unanimous in welcoming Chief Ameachi back to the PDP family.
