The Majority Leader of Delta State House of Assembly and Honorable Member representing Isoko South Constituency II, has debunked speculations in some quarters to the effect that the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff Oborevwori has been asked to step down from the 2023 gubernatorial race, describing it as a fidget of the imagination of the writer.
Onwo in a personally signed Press Release today in Asaba, said the candidature of the Speaker is an idea whose time has come, adding that no blackmail or slander or statements with mischievous intentions can stop this project because God is involved as Sheriffication Is not about ambition but a movement.
“It is imperative to debunk the completely false, misleading and vexatious report been peddled by some agents of falsehood who cannot stand the Sheriffication wind sweeping through the land. These agents of outright mendacity sit in the comfort of their homes after been induced by their paymasters, fabricate falsehoods geared towards misleading the public and weakening the morales of our supporters.
“We have overtime debunked their fictions and we will continue to do so till our aspirants assume the position of the Governor. The Advancing Delta Movement is on auto-pilot and no forces of hell can stand on its way.
“I am using this medium to tell Deltans and indeed our supporters that at no time was Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori asked to step down and even at this moment, our consultation and interface with party leaders and delegates remain in top-gear. Oborevwori is the man to beat and Deltans are behind him”.
