Small Business Owners in the state have been advised to reciprocate Governor Sheriff Oborevwori investment in them.
The Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Delta State Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency, DEMSMEDA, Dr. Godwin Adolor gave the advice, while speaking as a guest on DBS Asaba Phone – in Programme, Orientation Panorama.
Dr Adolor while noting that over 200,000 Micro Small and Medium Enterprises, MSMEs have been empowered across the state by the Governor through the various empowerment platforms, described the reforms in the business sub sector as a rare feat .
He urged them to translate Governor Oborevwori’s huge investment into meaningful ventures to reciprocate the billions of naira plough in to the programme whii advising them to remain focus, and put their employment packages into judicious use.
Dr. Adolor explained that the agency was given the mandate to grow develop and sustain businesses across the state, adding that he had a team of capable directors committed to the realistic reforms of the Governor in upscaling MSMEs to achieve set goals.
The Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer said that the State Government had not relented in distributing empowerment packages and assured them of the agency’s advisory services, capacity building, grants support and linking them to markets and financial institutions for ease of doing and sustainability.
Giving an overview of D-Cares, Dr Adolor commended the state government for the 4th tranche of disbursement where over 4,500 small business owners benefitted from the empowerment which was done in phases.
