The widely revered monarch who is the 21st Olu of Warri was born on April 2, 1984 to late Ogiame Atuwatse II and Gladys Durorike Emiko. Ogiame Atuwatse III ascended to the throne of his forebears on August 21st 2021.
Ogiame Atuwatse III is married to his beautiful and ever elegance looking Queen, Olori Atuwatse III and they are blessed with three kids.
Recall that the monarch (then Tsola Emiko) was affirmed by Ife and the entire Itsekiri people on April 1, 2021, a day before he celebrated his 37th birthday anniversary and formally presented to the (then Olu Advisory Council) by the Iyatsere of Warri Kingdom, Chief Johnson Amatserunleghe as Olu-designate.
The monarch is a Nigerian billionaire business tycoon. He is the founder of Noble Nigeria Ltd and Coral Curator Ltd. He is the Chairman, Ocean Marine Security Ltd and a number of other businesses across hotels, Agribusiness and real estate.
So far, his enthronement as the 21st Olu of Warri has been attributed to a new dawn in the annals of the ancient Warri Kingdom. A few months after his coronation, he began to unfold his development plans for the kingdom to the admiration of all.
Today, I am delighted to celebrate my Father, His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III as he celebrates his first royal birthday today, marking his 38 years of sojourn on the face of planet earth. May the lines fall in pleasant places for you today and always In Jesus’ name, amen. Your Majesty, since your ascension, my joy has known no bounds and I have never been this elated. Indeed light has come to stay in Warri Kingdom.
Your Majesty, I humbly dedicate this Itsekiri thanksgiving song to God Almighty on the occasion of your 38th birthday celebration:
“Òkpè ooo eh Òkpè oooo eh Òkpè Orire (2x)
Ayè t’Oritsè tse gbènè ènè wa gbara lè gba dòkpè ooo ehh Òkpè orire.”
Your Majesty, I crave your royal indulgence to list a few amongst numerous milestones your subjects have benefited thus far and we are most grateful:
Your Majesty, many towns and hamlets that have one dispute or the other have been enjoy your listening ears. The aggrieved parties have been reconciled – a testament to your speech during the ‘Change of Watch’ ceremony wherein you stated that, “None of you has done anything too bad to be reconciled here” and this confirms the belief that you are blessed with divine wisdom. We are grateful.
The Federation of International Football Association, FIFA, World Cup Competition enhances peace among participating countries. Your Majesty, like FIFA competition, the Ghigho Aghofen that you newly initiated which accommodates dance groups from various ethnic nationalities especially our neighbors has helped to promote peace in the Oil city and environs. We are grateful.
Your Majesty, the 52 hectares of land you recently allocated to 90 Amphibious Battalion of the Nigerian Army for the construction of a befitting barracks accommodation for officers and men of the battalion in Koko is commendable. It is your own little way of contributing to the security architecture of Warri Kingdom. We are grateful
Your Majesty, Ureju community that was engulfed in total darkness and underdevelopment for ages, finally received a breath of fresh air when you stepped your majestic feet on the land and released blessings. Out of your royal generosity, you donated five million naira, N5M as a springboard to kickstart the development of the community. Ureji women cooperative was boosted by Her Highness’ Olori Atuwatse III donation of five hundred thousand naira, N500,000. We are grateful.
Your Majesty, the junior workers of Chevron-EGTL in Escravos claimed that they were being treated as slaves with no regards to their health and welfare. So, they embarked on a warning strike. By your timely intervention, the workers’ requests were approved by the international oil company. We are grateful.
Your Majesty, during your inaugural speech, you pronounced that: “Women will no longer be invisible.” Your Majesty, a lot of women have drawn courage from the solemn pronouncement to break the bias. A few of them have become motivated to run for political office. We are grateful.
Your Majesty, it is indeed true that when the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice- Proverbs 29:2. Our joy has known no bounds since you came on board to liberate Warri Kingdom. Itsekiris have never been this elated and united before. Even non Itsekiris celebrate with us and share in our joy. We are grateful to God for anointing you as King over us.
Your Majesty, before your ascension, I was badly entangled in myriads of predicament – economically and socially especially in January 2021. But today, I can categorically state that God in his infinite mercy has intervened. I am grateful.
Your Majesty, again, during your inaugural speech, you reversed the age-long curse that ravaged the land and in its place, you released blessings. I can confirm that Iwere land had been yielding increase on every side. The scales have fallen from our eyes. Ogidigben community hosting the Shell Ogidigben Flow Station for over 60 years had suffered sheer marginalization by the Oil giant. No good roads, no potable water, no electricity. The people resorted to a peaceful protest and by your intervention, the oil company agreed to meet the needs of the people. We are grateful.
Your Majesty, once again, happy birthday!
