The Provincial Pastor of Delta Province 3, of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Unity Model Parish,Asaba Pastor Olutomi Sodeinde has asserted that a life spent outside Christ irrespective of duration on earth was a waste.
Pastor Sodeinde made the assertion in Abavo, in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, during an outing service in honour of Mama Ologwa Udueme, mother of Ejime Udueme of Delta Broadcasting Service (DBS), Asaba who passed on recently.
While urging the children of the deceased to follow her footsteps, Pastor Sodeinde who was represented by Pastor Emmanuel Aninye, said the best way to make heaven was for everyone to embrace Christ.
One of the children of the deceased, Mr Ejime Udueme paid glowing tribute to his mother saying she lived a fulfilled life.
The service featured choir ministration, special prayers for the family and dance by the children of the deceased.
The occasion was attended by the management and staff of DBS, the State chairman and Executive of the Delta State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), senior civil servants, politicians and the retired Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information, Sir Austin Mowah.
Late Ologwa Udueme who passed on on July 25, 2018 died at the age of eighty-five and was a community leader and a philanthropist.
She is survived by five children and other relations.
