Ahead the 7th delegate conference of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) at Umuahia in Abia State, fixed for between October 5 and 7, 2021, the Chairman of the Delta State Council of the union, Comrade Michael Ikeogwu, has enjoined delegates from the state to be good ambassadors of the council and the state by being extremely decorous in their conducts and utterances throughout the period of the electoral exercise.
Comrade Ikeogwu handed down the advice while addressing the delegates and observers from the council at the temporary Press Centre of the union in Asaba, the state capital.
He said that not only should the delegates and the observers showcase excellent carriage, but should embrace unity of purpose in their choice of those to lead the union in the country by casting their votes according to unanimous decision of the council, adding that the state council had endorsed the candidacy of the incumbent President of the union, Comrade (Deacon) Christopher Isiguzo, for a second term.
Comrade Ikeogwu used the occasion to thank journalists in the state for standing solidly behind his administration, adding that the state council was coasting to greater heights through its meticulous repositioning by his administration.
Comrade Ikeogwu wished them a safe trip to, purposeful deliberations at the congress and joyful return to Delta State.
