DELTA APC CONDEMNS OKOWA, PDP ON NEW $40 MILLION LOAN
As if the grotesque atrocities of the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa-led People’s Democratic Party, PDP, one-chance administration are not already more than enough for the good people of Delta to stomach, our Count Dracula of a big mistake of a Governor now wants to borrow $40 million on the necks of Deltans supposedly for the renovation of Songhai Delta, a mere cottage industry hidden somewhere off Amuokpe-Sapele.
Governor Okowa’s insistence on borrowing this humongous amount of money for an entirely phoney project is just the latest insanity in a long list of highly vexing atrocities he has been perpetrating against Deltans ever since his complete disaster of an administration came on board.
Equally nauseating is the disposition of the Delta State House of Assembly, DTHA, which to all intents and purposes is now actively involved with the Governor in the steady decimation of our state.
By approving absolutely every crazy and patently criminal loan request of what has effectively become a dreadfully demonic administration, the Delta State House of Assembly and the Okowa administration are thick as thieves in the unbridled looting of our dear state.
It is truly galling that Okowa has finally converted what was already and, most disgracefully just a rubber-stamp of a state house of assembly, into a den of thieves quite eager and all too willing to say yes to any insane demands he makes while aiding and abetting him as he robs Deltans blind and loots our state dry.
Even the very notion of $40 million, i.e. N23 billion, to renovate an overhyped cottage like Songhai Delta is an insult to the sensibilities of Deltans and could only have emanated from the twisted mindset of a rabidly avaricious Governor who now sees the generality of Deltans as mere conquered slaves.
At the present rate of unhinged borrowing by the Okowa-led PDP government, the debt profile of Delta should have more than doubled within the last year of this diabolical administration!
Of a truth, we must now square up to the fact that we are faced with a truly dangerous character who just can’t stop stealing or cease accumulating what he will never, ever need.
Thus stuck with an administration determined to borrow our state into a cemetery of indebtedness, Deltans should take it that they are no longer wrestling against flesh and blood but, in fact, against principalities and powers.
As for the quite crooked and woefully unprofessional bankers willing to extend these highly questionable, clearly suspicious, wholly irregular, entirely unorthodox, utterly untenable and altogether corrupt loan facilities to a man whose tenure is winding up, they are only playing with fire and will certainly hear from Deltans as soon as Okowa’s infernal term comes to its fittingly ignoble, miserable and disgraceful end.
The All Progressives Congress, APC, Delta State, serves notice that each and every one of these criminal loans are being advanced entirely at the risk of the lenders as the good people of Delta shall not be constrained to repay them.
23 billion naira should build us ten different Songhais across the state and it can only be persons with neither conscience nor background that would have the nerve to propose the misapplication of such an incredible amount in merely renovating the glorified poultry farm and bitterleaf garden the Okowa administration has suddenly remembered from nowhere!
Deltans are not stupid and it is crystal clear to our ever vigilant citizens that these satanic loans are all intended for embezzlement and politicking.
Despite all our Governor must have pocketed thus far by executing every project by himself, he is still reluctant to dip hands into his own pockets to fund the installation of his handpicked successor but, rather insists on further bleeding our state and using our own money to force his preferred candidate down our throats!
Part of this loan of $40 million will go down the drain of cash and carry primaries and the remainder will be diverted towards the actualisation of Okowa’s wet dream of leaving office as the richest Governor in the entire history of Nigeria!
Indeed, with over N100 billion earmarked to be borrowed before the main elections set to hold next year, it should be obvious to every Deltan by now that we are being governed by an Ali Baba and The Forty Thieves.
May God hurry up 2023 that we may finally rid our beloved state of a malignant cancer of an administration presided over by a supposed medical doctor.
