The Delta State Acting Governor, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro was among dignitaries from across the state that graced the marriage ceremony of Miss Jenny Eruotor, daughter of the Deputy Chief of Staff Government House, Hon. Steve Eruotor, and her hearthrob Mr Kenny Akporode at the Believers Love World, Christ Embassy Church, Airport road, Effurun, Delta State.
Delivering a sermon, Pastor Ben Olele who took his text from the book of Romans 5:1, admonished the couple, Mr and Mrs Kenny Akporode, to always express hope and demostrate patience. He urged them to always exercise patience and put Christ in the centre of their union.
Pastor Olele noted that, as children of God, they were justified people by faith. Saying that, the faith that we have in Christ will always see us through challenges in life.
He noted that, Christians should not be ashamed to express hope in Christ, admonishing that perseverance brings about experience, and should continue to add spiritual knowledge to their faith.
The solemnisation featured declaration of consent,exchange of rings by the new couple before the signing of marriage register.
Guests were later treated to a reception at Osubi where the couple cut their wedding cake,fed each other before they danced to the admiration of all.
The Chairman on the ocassion,who is also the Head of Service, Mr. Reginald Bayoko enjoined the couple to always commit themselves to prayers, noting that with fervent prayers and faith in God, their marriage will always experience peace and harmony. He prayed for peace and understanding to reign in the new union.
In an interview, the father of the bride Chief Steve Eruotor charged the new couple to put God first in all their dealings in addition to being faithful, open and show understanding to each other.
He advised the couple to always work in love, show understanding and be open to each other, noting that, patience, understanding and tolerance are sure attributes of successful and happy marriages.
The couple also thanked God for bringing them together pledging to put Christ first in all their actions.
